Motion carried ~nanlmously (ABSENT-Bawden, Terry). Discussion continued on Items 44-53. Mr. Otto noted Item 44 Is a new one, ! Mr. Rychner stated he has talked to Anoka County about an application for a hazardous waste generator license, and an appllcat:lion .Is being sent to him. MOTION D~ Deemer, Seconded by LaDue, Item 45, "will not". DISCUSSION: Commissioner Hendrlksen said they will be running a home-made furnace with no emissions testing information received. The busid~ess has a history of burning waste o11, and he expected that con~ltl.on to continue. It Is a 24-hour-a-day operation, and there is rno proposal to make any substantial improvements to the property ~(that he can see, polntlng out the gravel parking lot whlch is contr&ry to City code. He felt an operation such as this would adversel~ impair the use and enjoyment of any surrounding property as well a~ possibly impede their ability to sell their property at full market value. VOTE ON MOTION: YES-Deemer, LaDue, Zimmerman; NO-Hendriksen, Thorud; ~BSENT-Bawden, Terry. Motion carried. MOTION byI Hendrlksen, Seconded by Thorud, Item 46, that it will be undu]~ dangerous. DISCUSSION: Commissioner Hendrlksen thought the opera~tlon of a home-made furnace with no test documents is dangerouS. Mr. Rychner stated there will be testlng before It is operational 'to be sure it meets the crtterlal and requirements. He has an al!r quality permit from the EPA. He also disputed a statement!~ made by Mr. Otto earlier in the evening with regard to the City ~f Anoka asking him to leave. He stated that Is not true and presented a letter from Gary Sauer, President of the Tiller Corporation dated May ~0, ~990, terminating his ]ease and giving him 30 d~Ys ~to vacate the premises. He said that is the reason he ~s movin~ his operation. The Tiller Corporation owned the land for ~ 1/2 years before they realized he was ]easing it. Chairman z~mmerman~ read the letter for the record. VOTE ON MDTION: YES-Hendriksen, Thorud; NO-Deemer, LaDue, 2immermanl; ABSENT-Bawden, Terry.
