Absent: Commissioner Brockamp. <br /> <br />Case #2: ReqUest for a Conditional Use Permit to have Horses on Less than <br /> Three Acres; Case of James Pauizine <br /> <br />Zoning Admini;Strat~Or Frolik stated that James Paulzine is requesting a conditional use permit to <br />maintain two hOrse~ on his property at 16350 Alpaca Street N.W. Ms. Frolik noted that Mr. <br />Paulzine's lot treasures 2.04 acres, 1.53 acres of which is fenced roaming area for the horses. <br />Ms. Frolik noted that the temporary run-in shed for the horses is located within 75 feet of the <br />property line and thi!s is not in accordance with City Code. <br />Mr. Paulzine s{ated that if he is granted a conditional use permit to maintain the horses on his <br />property, he.~ill lie constructing a permanent structure to house the horses that will be in <br />conformance with (2ity Code setback requirements. <br /> <br />Ms. Frolik n°ta~, that Mr. Paulzine's parcel is less than 2.5 acres in size and he will not be able to <br />construct a metlal building to house the horses. <br /> <br />Mr. Paulzine s0bmitted written statements from four of his neighbors stating their support for his <br />request. Mr. pfi, ulzi,ne noted that his three-rail fencing is topped with electric strand. He also noted <br />that he tills the~manure into the soil on his property. Mr. Paulzine stated that he has been around <br />horses his enrir~ life and his wife Kris had many years of working experience with horses. <br /> <br />Motion by Cha, irpe[son Scottston and seconded by Commissioner Breu to recommend that Git3' <br />Council apprOVe Mr. James Paulzine's request for a conditional use permit contingent upon <br />favorable responses from the neighboring property owners and under the following tern-ts: 1) <br />Construction o~f a 13ermanent structure, designed to house horses and at least 500 square feet in <br />size, by DeCeobet 31, 1992. Said structure shall be located a minimum of 75 feet from all <br />property lines.;! 2) .Removal of the temporary run-in shed as shown on the applicant's site plan by <br />December 31, :1992. 3) No exterior storage of hay and feed materials. 4) That the permit holder <br />shall maintainlithe ~fence at a structural level adequate to contain the horses on the property in <br />accordance with the site plan submitted by the applicant. <br /> <br />Motion carrie~. Absent: Commissioner Brockamp. <br /> <br />Case #3: ,Reschedule September Meeting Date <br /> <br />It was noted:that the regular meeting of the Horse Care Commission in September, 1992 fails on <br />Primary ElectiOn Day and it will be necessary to reschedule that meeting date. <br />The consensu,, of the Commission was to reschedule the regular September meeting of the Horse <br />Care Commas{ion lo Wednesday, September 16, 1992 at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Case #4: ::Discussion Regarding Emergency Horse Care Providers <br /> <br />Commissione~ ShU;mway stated that per the discussion at the January meeting of the Horse Care <br />Commission, [she has compiled a list of stables and farms for Zoning Administrator Frolik to <br />contact regarding emergency horse care services.
