Th!is ~letter to you and copied to EQB and Metropolitan <br />Council is!i0tO clarify the proposed development and respond to the <br />five council recommendations. The proposed plat configuration and <br />surrounding area 'is shown on the attached PRELIMINARY PLAT LAYOUT. <br /> <br /> WS TATZON <br /> <br />The Faye Property is primarily in agricultural use with the <br />only ilimportant woodland being along the shore of the <br />Missli~sippi River. Some fenceline trees exist, a little patch <br />exis!t~ in the NE segment of the site and there is highway <br />pla~t~ng along TH 10. The attached WOODLANDS exhibit shows <br />the l~cation of vegetation. <br /> <br />The Preliminary Plat is prepared showing Outlot E which ranges <br />in distance from 200 to 300 feet from the River and this <br />outlot is planned to remain as open space. A concerted effort <br />was m~de in the planning of the property to protect the wooded <br />water~ront in the interest of the environment, in respect for <br />the ¢~it!cal river corridor and for the enjoyment of'the site <br />by many. <br /> <br />TRAIL ~ LOCATION <br /> i' <br /> <br />Ail &spects of development have changed in the planning <br />process. Through coordination with the City the early Sketch <br />Plan ~asi been modified substantially in regard to collector <br />street 10cations, residential development patterns, locations <br />and types of land use, park development locations and the <br />trai!.i The trail has had ten different configurations in the <br />plan~ng process and the present is satisfactory to the owner <br />and Is recommended by Park and Recreation Commission.
