The.study assesses the technical <br />feasibility ~f development a~d desireabllit¥ of the City's acquiring <br />and improving t~e current privately owned airfield. ~tudy elements <br />include alte~L~natives evaluation, development of the Airport Layout <br />Plan, enviro~mental overview, development stagin? and preliminary cost <br />estimates. ~01~ow on work included the application for entry into <br />the National ~l~n of Integrated Airports System (NPIAS) and possible <br />alternative ~nWay alignment. <br /> <br />Devil's Tra~ A%rport - Cook County, Minnesota <br />The Master P~an Study fgr this airport addresses the upgrading of the <br />existing paV,~ basic utility runway.(60' x 28001) to a general utility <br />runway of 7§ 'x 4200'. Due to the site restrictions and the County's <br />desire to aVOid !acquisition of privately owned property, a displaced <br />threshold of ~700' ~as recommended to provide adequate p~vemen~ length <br />and mitigate ioff-s~te impacts.
