His
areas of expertise include airport facilities; power and control
systems; communications, signal and alarm systems; and spe-
l~ialized lighting systems.
~ Airport projects in which Mr. Holden has been involved
~nclude the electrical design of runway and taxiway edge light-
lng parallel and series systems, radio and visual NAVAIDS,
apron lighting systems, T-hangars, and landside power distribu-
tion systems. In 1981 he attended the FAA Airport Lighting and
Radio NAVAIDS School "Lighting/NAVAIDS Seminar", Great
Lakes Region, in Chicago.
Mr. Holden is a graduate of Anoka Technical Institute in
Electrical Engineering and is a member of the North Central
Electrical Engineering Society.

James E. Budke, P.E.
Electrical Engineer - Associate

A member of the firm since 1973, Mr. Budke is manager of the
Electrical Engineering Department. In recent years he has been
responsible for all TKDA airport electrical work. His areas of
expertise include electrical design of buildings; process, power,
and control systems; communications, signal alarm and teleme-
tering systems; airport lighting systems; and radio and visual
navigational aids.
Mr. Budke has engineered the runway lighting for Brainerd-
Crow Wing County Airport, as well as the ALS (Airport Lighting
Systems) for Flying Cloud Airport. Denis
Electrical Designer

Mr. Denis' areas of knowledge include electrical design of
airports, cost estimates, construction administration, and inspec-
tions of electrical work.
Since his employment by the firm in 1981, he has been
involved with several airport projects. M.r. Denis worked on coor-
dination with FAA, state and other spdnsOrs on designing run-
way and taxiway lighting (both series and parallel), apron light-
lng, visual and radio NAVAIDS, and air'side and landside power
distribution. He has also designed alternative energy-saving
runway lighting systems.
A graduate of Anoka Technical Institute in Electrical Design,
Mr. Denis is a member of the Illuminating Engineers Society.
