~he CommiSsion reviewed the list of companies (see enclosure 2 to these
minutes) ~ub~itted by Commissioner Larsen to be sent the letters.
Commissioner Larsen stated that these are not recommendations, rather a
list he received of .qualified firms.

City Administrator Hartley stated that in regard to references, we should
ask for one or two clients and two peer professionals.

Motion b~ Commissioner Stauffer and seconded by Commissioner Sieber to send
the letter to the firms listed in enclosure 2 to these minutes.

Further discussion: Commissioner Sieber asked if this needs to be
published in the newspaper. He stated that Staff
came up with ~oncerns/needs and the people in attendance rated each of them
and from this, a list of high, mediu~ and low priorities was established
for each department in the city. He stated that this was an attempt to
increase~ hhe ~ommunications between all levels of the City and it was a
very positive step for Ramsey.

C~airman Ippel also stated that the City joined the Minnesota Council of
Airports and ~they are holding a joint conference with MATA on April 9, 10
and 11, 1986 at L'Hotel Sofitel (see enclosure 3 to these minutes for
conference highlights/items covered).

City Administrator Hartley gave the Commission his background and
involvement with the airport in Jackson, Minnesota and stated that he
worked with the FAA, Mn/DOT, MCOA, etc. He said that he was very fortunate
to have concerlned commission members there and can see that same interest
here in P~sey.
