Absent: Commissioners Soderholm, Sieber and <br /> <br />Chairman lppel stated that councilmembers taking the airport tour seemed to <br />feel there is the potential in Ramsey for an airport but still question the <br />economic feasibility of it. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONIN]~LT <br /> <br />Chairman Ippel stated that the third public informational public meeting <br />should be~held the end of March, 1985. <br /> <br />Mr. Don Stauffer suggested that a similar airport tour be put on video tape <br />for showing at the next public meeting; stated that arrangements for equipment <br />can be made with Group W in exchange for the tape being aired on their local <br />affairs channel. <br /> <br />The Commission was very much in favor of Mr. Stauffer's suggestion. <br />Commissioner Donovan stated that citizen concern that planes are flying right <br />over their rooftops might be relieved if the video tape could show that it is <br />a perceived problem rather than an actual problem. <br /> <br />C~mmission consensus was that Mr. Don Stauffer and Commissioner Siebert pursue <br />video taping a tour of Gateway, Airlake and Princeton airports. <br /> <br />Chairman Ippel stated that Mr. Steve Larsen, Mr. Dick Sieber and Councilmember <br />Gary Reimannlwere not able to attend either of the two airport tours in <br />December and stated that if during the video taping process, there is room on <br />the plane~ these persons be invited to go along. <br /> <br />Co~missio~ consensus is that letters of appreciation be sent to Ms. Jeanne <br />Haapala, Mr. Ken Patz and Mr. Bill Morrow for their service on the Airport <br />Commission. <br /> <br />Motion byCommissioner Greenberg and seconded by Commissioner Donovan to <br />adjourn this regular meeting of the Airport Commission. <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br />and Greenberg, <br />and Erickson. <br /> <br />Voting Yes: Chairman Ippel, Commissioners Donovan, Siebert <br />Voting No: None.
