Motion by Commissioner Donovan and seconded by Commissioner Morrow <br />to approve regular Airport Commission meeting minutes and public <br />meeting minutes dated May 16, 1984. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Ippel, Commissioners Patz, <br />Donovan, Siebert, Soderholm and Morrow. Voting No: None. Absent: <br />Commissioners'Moen, Sieber and Greenberg. <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #!.: <br /> <br />~esignation Of Commissioner Jeanne Moen From Airport <br />C~mmi'ssion: <br /> <br />Chairman Ippel stated that he has received a letter of resignation <br />from Commissioner Jeanne Moen; that Ms. Moen is continuing her <br />education and night school is conflicting with Airport Commission <br />meeting dates. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Siebert and seconded by Commissioner Donovan <br />to accept Ms. Moen's letter of resignation and that a letter of <br />appreciation be sent to Ms. Moen for her past service. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Ippel, Commissioners Patz, <br />Donovan, Siebert, Soderholm and Morrow. Voting No: None. Absent: <br />Commissioners Moen, Sieber and Greenberg. <br /> <br />Motion by Co ~nnnissioner Siebert to fill the vacancy created on the <br />Airport commission by Ms. Moen's resignation and that replacement <br />should not be aviation oriented. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Chairman Ippel stated that the City's normal <br />policy for filling vacancies on commissions is to advertise the <br />vacancy, intervieWs conducted by the specific commission, commission <br />makes a recommendation to Council. <br /> <br />Commissioner Siebert withdraws his motion based on the fact that <br />guideline~ fOr filling commission vacancies are set by the City. <br /> <br />Commission consensus is that every effort will be made ~to fill the <br />vacancy wfth a non-aviation oriented person, <br /> <br />Case #2: Airport Meetings 'Scheduled In July And August','l'984: <br /> <br />Chairman !ppel stated that the next regular meeting of the Commission <br />will be the third Wednesday in July and the consultants will be <br />present with elevation studies, acceptable runway placements, etc. <br /> <br />Sp AP/June 2, 1984 <br /> Page 2 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
