Chairman t.pp~l stated that next public meeting is scheduled for <br />August 15, 1~84, which is a regular Airport Commission meeting <br />night and th~ public meeting will take place Pending completion <br />of necessary studies. <br /> <br />Commissioner Patz suggested that the next public meeting take <br />place at Gateway Airport. <br /> <br />Commissio~ consensus is that the legallity of conducting a public <br />meeting at other than City Hall be researched and a decision <br />regarding~conducting the public meeting at Gateway will be made <br />at the Commission's July, 1984 meeting. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Mr. Ken Crow - 7350 151st Avenue - Stated he was at the May 16, <br />1984 public meeting and it seemed as though the Commission was <br />ill prepared, as far as communicating to the people the good <br />affects of an airport being located within a municipality. <br />Mr. Crow stated that emphasis should be placed on the businesses <br />and resulting employment opportunities that go along with having <br />an airport facility. <br /> <br />Chairman %ppel stated that the Commission does not know all the <br />answers ~yet -- is Ramsey a viable location for an airport that <br />would qualify for State and Federal assistance, would it be beneficial <br />to the community -- that is the purpose of the Airport Master Plan. <br />The public meetings are an attempt to keep the people informed <br />every step of the way. <br /> <br />ADJOURNFIENT' <br />Motion by Commissioner Patz and seconded by Commissioner Morrow <br />to adjourn this special meeting of the Airport Commission. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Ippel, Commissioners <br />Patz, Donovan, Siebert, Soderholm and Morrow.
