Chairman!Ippel suggested that a format for the public meeting
be a presentation on how this Airport Commission came about,
the history of the airport, history of the tech center's
involvement with the airport, present aerial photos of the
existing~airport and what is proposed, stressing the fact that
what is proposed would meet Federal requirements and represents
the ultimate in airport development.

Mr. Koshak requested that Commissioner Greenberg try to have the
original plans for Gateway North at the public meeting.

CommissiOn consensus is that the Commission should not react in
a defensive'manner at the public meeting; the purpose of the
meeting is to inform the citizens and answer questions as best
they can.

Chairman Ippel requested that Mr. Schnelle have available for
the public meeting a city map and stick pins so the citizens
can show the Commission exactly where their property is located
in relation to the airport.

Commissioner Sieber stated that the most common question that
will be asked by the citizens is 'what is the airport going to
cost me?'

Mr. Kosh~k~and Commissioner Patz stated that since there are
no development cost figures available, all the Commission can
do is eXPlain where the funding would come from if the Airport
would qualify for Federal and State grants.

Commissioner Sieber stated that it should also be stressed at
the very beginning of the public meeting that there will be no
airport ~unless the Airport Master Plan, public meetings and
public hearings can prove that an airport would be beneficial
to the City.

ADJOURt~MENT

Motion by Commissioner Donovan and seconded by Commissioner
Siebert to adjourn this special meeting of the Ramsey Airport
Commission~

Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Ippel, Commissioners
Soderhoim,.'Patz, Morrow, Sieber, Siebert, Donovan and Greenberg.
Voting No: None.
