The projected number of annual <br />operatio.~s~ is iestimated to be 40,000 in the year 2005 (operations are take- <br />offs or ]'ahdi .~gs). <br /> <br />Citizen ~ ,~!nq.~Uired as to who picks up the cost of depreciation in property <br />values. Wh~ t_~as been sh~dn in the past is that there is not a significant <br />increase ~or d~..crease in property values for a residence some distance away <br />from an ai~r,t, commercial and industrial property tends to increase in <br />value. <br /> <br />The hearl~ went into recess at 8:45 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Ret~ called the hearing back to order at 8:55 p.m. <br /> <br />~UBLIC ~S <br /> <br />Mr. Hartle]{ p=oceeded to read a written comment received from Dan Erhart, <br />Chairman~o~ t~e Anoka County Board of Commissioners, dated March 6, 1987 <br />which st4t~d ~hat it appears the proposed airport zoning ordinance may be <br />in confl~c~ with the Waste Management Act of 1980 and a State Statute which <br />says tha~ .ho 9ity shall allow development to occur which has not been <br />approved ib~ t/le Metropolitan Council and Metro Council shall not approve <br />actions Wh~chljeopardize the availability of a site for use as a solid <br />waste fa~i~it¥. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley ~roceeded to read a written comment received from John <br />Robertso~ 6f ~5039 Ramsey Blvd. stating that his property is partially in <br />Zone A af~',pa~tially in Zone B and was deetermined to be all in Zone B; <br />suggested tha~ any property touching Zone A should be considered part of <br />Zone A. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley noted that the public has until 9:00 a.m. on March 23, 1987 to <br />submit w~i~te~ comments regarding the proposed airport zoning ordinance. <br /> <br />George MaY.~- 9~99 Westview Drive, Hastings, MN - Stated that he is present <br />representing ~om Thumb, which is in Zone A, and inquired if there is a <br />purchase ia~re%ment or option to buy between Ramsey and the people who <br />currently ~wn ithe airport. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley -iReplied that there is no purchase agreement or option to buy. <br /> Airport Zoning.Board/March 11, 1987 <br /> <br />Page 7 of 12 <br /> <br /> <br />
