airport is.~no~, going to be a profitable thing over many years; airport
developm~m~ will not increase land value but rather make land less valuable
because la~d ~ses will be restricted. Mr. Babock stated that over a period
of years, sirport development may cost Ramsey a great sum of money and
suggested that~ a better course of action for a responsible Council is to
leave the mat~er of siting an airport of this kind to serve this type of
traffic to t~ Metropolitan Airport Commission and let the cost of this
type of airport be shared by the whole metro area rather than the taxpayers
in Ramsey.~ M~. What the airport is going to cost Ramsey
should be ~etermined before the proposal gets too far along. Mr. Sauer
stated tha~ the citizens don't want a landfill or an airport and he doesn't
feel the~c~tiMens have to settle for the lesser of two evils; the people
can stop the dump; don't put in an airport to stop the landfill.

Mary Jo Se~tyrz - 6726 137th Avenue NW - Stated she is the owner of Small
World DaY Car~ Center which came into existence in 1981.
