Totaling 20.5 <br />acres, the Sabject R-operty encompasses two separate parcels. The Sibject R-opertyisowned bythe <br />City of Ramsey is home to the City's former municipal center campus. <br />In June 2012, the Ramsey Qty Council identified the Sabject Rropertyassurplus Qty owned land; as it is <br />no longer needed for current* or future Qty functions. Returning tax-exempt Qty owned property back <br />to the private sector for development benefitsthe Qty by increasing the tax capacity base within <br />Ramsey. Increased tax capacity results in less tax burden for individual tax payers. <br />*Today, the Sabject R-opertyis utilized asthe temporary home of Ramsey Fre Btation #2. The Qty <br />anticipates constructi ng a new Rre nation #2, just northeast of the Sabject R-opertyin the coming <br />years. <br />The Sabject R-operty is currently zoned public/quasi-public. Over the past twenty years, it has been <br />anticipated the Sabject Fropertywould be developed into afull municipal center campus or a new <br />middle school.
