• <br />Mayor Heitman called the regular meeting back to order at 7:48 p.m. <br />COUNCIL NEW BUSINESS <br />Case #2: Adoption Of Assessments For Certain 1985 Public Improvement Projects: <br />A. Public Improvement Project #84-16 For Ramsey Terrace Street Surfacing: <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Cox to adopt <br />Resolution #85-196 adopting the assessments for Ramsey Terrace streets, <br />Project #84-16. (Please refer to resolution file for Resolution #85-196). <br />Further Discussion: Mayor Heitman inquired if all properties proposed to be <br />assessed have been notified. Mr. Schnelle replied that they have. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />Reimann and Schlueter. Voting No: None. <br />B. Public Improvement Project #84-1 for Flintwood Hills Second Addition <br />Sanitary Sewer, Water, Storm Sewer and Street Surfacing: <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Cox to adopt <br />Resolution #85-197 adopting the assessments for Flintwood Hills Second Addition <br />sanitary sewer, water storm sewer and streets, Project #84-1. (Please refer <br />to resolution file for Resolution #85-197). <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />Reimann and Schlueter. Voting No: None. <br />COUNCIL OLD BUSINESS <br />Case #3; Drainage Problems: <br />Clara Jenson - 5231 150th Lane - Gorham's Sandy Acres - Stated that she bought <br />this home new in 1973; the pond is flooding her property; Andover pumped for <br />their citizens; what will Ramsey do for those citizens being flooded. <br />Kevin Leonard - 5230. 150th Lane - Gorham's Sandy Acres - Stated he bought his <br />existing home in 1981; the water has come to within 5 yards of his home; home <br />foundation is cracking. <br />Karen Osc - 7750 152nd Lane - Stated she moved into her existing home seven years <br />ago; has water in her basement; over half of the lot is under water; water problems <br />have increased since the installation of culvert. <br />Kris Bancroft - 7431 151st Avenue - Stated she moved into her new home in 1978; <br />at 2:30 a.m. the water was up to the bottom step in the basement and now it is <br />up to the second step; have no hot water or heat and appliances are floating; <br />sump pump no longer works; daughter is taking 3 different medications because <br />of health problems associated with the water; 3 month old son had to go live with <br />grandmother because of conditions in the home; we have been before Council 3 times. <br />At this time Ms. Bancroft submitted pictures to Council. <br />Karen Osc - Stated she knows; it i`s: not dratnf pld prObleMa- as she recently spent <br />$1700 redoing her septic system. <br />October 8, 1985 <br />Page 2 of 14 <br />
