Louis Breimhurst of the Metropolitan Waste Control Commission r~garding Ramsey's second sewer connection). Councilmember Schluete~ stated that Mayor Gamec's request for second sewer connection is prematu~e c°hsidering preliminary plat approval for the P.U.D. has not taken place. Coun~ilmember Schlueter then referred to the 3rd paragraph of this subject letter and Mayor Gamec's statement that the City is in the process of approvingla high density P.U.D., and stated that she as a councilmember is in th6 process of looking at the proposed P.U.D., not approving it. Mayor Gamec ~tated that if the councilmermbers feel the letter needs to be correctedi~, ~hey should make a motion to that effect. Otherwise, Mayor Gamec stated he. in~ends to stand on the letter as written; that it may be an important p°iitical issue to some people, but not to him. Council~ ~e~r Schtueter referred to Item #30, (Resolution #83-215 dated December 120,11983 supporting the location of a racing facility in the City of Blaine). .Councilmember Schlueter stated that she had abstained on that resolution, ~hat the minutes of that meeting reflect that she abstained but the resolution itself records her voting in favor of. Mr. Schnelle stated that the resolution will be corrected. Council noted the following Staff reports: a) GitY AdmSnistrator b) Building i Official c) Police C~ief d) City !Engineer c0u c ,. s.Z ss Case #l~ 'Re~eiving/Acce~ting/Re~ecting Com~uter Software And Hardware Bids: Ms. Ann~CarrOll of Thompson and Company and City Accountant Moen were present. Council~ember Schlueter complimented Ms. Carroll on her compilation and comparison report of the bids. Ms. CarrOll Stated that none of the vendors met all of the requirements, but certain v~nd~rs are better in certain areas. Thompson and Company feels that TeletermfnalS appears to best meet Ramsey's needs in a long run, particularly in training ~nd support. Teleterminals seems most willing and able to work with Ra~sey in a creative way. Council then'reviewed the bids with Ms. Carroll. City Attorney Goodrich stated that since this is such a complex bid and difficult to'analyze and financial matters have not been worked out, the City would like to not reject any bids, but commence entering into contract negotiation With the most successful bidder.
