Council <br />goal is nbt ~o cut the program but to force improvements to the program. <br /> <br />DiscussiOn e~sued regarding whether or not there is a decrease in enrollment <br />because o~ the increase in participation fees. Mr. Hadley stated that it is <br />difficult, to idetermine at this time because the activity bus has been cut to <br />winter quarter only and that may have some bearing on enrollment. He did <br />note that enrollment has dropped about 100 participants per quarter. <br /> <br />Mr. Hadley also noted that there are no hard feelings and that he and the <br />Community So~ool Advisory Council would like to meet with Council and come <br />up with a budget that both parties can live with rather than go through <br />the pro~e~s ~hey went through this year. <br /> <br />Motion bY~ Councitmember Schlueter to reinstate $2500.00 into the Community <br />school for 1984. <br /> <br />Motion failsifor lack of a second. <br /> <br />Motion byI C°ukncilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember to adopt <br />ResolutiOn ~84-5 authorizing the reinstatement of $2,100.00 into the Community <br />School Budge~ for 1984. (Refer to resolution file for Resolution #84-5). <br /> <br /> ! <br />Motion ~a~ried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Schlueterl an~ Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #5: ~ Pa~k And Recreation Commission's Priorities For Central Park: <br /> <br />City ~nginme~ Raatikka stated that the City cut costs by $20,000 or better <br />by goin~ ~o ~ 300 gallon/minute well. Another temporary solution would be <br />to acq~r~ W~ter from A1 Sorteberg's well at a cost of approximately <br />$25,000 f~r ~nderground piping. <br /> <br />Counciim~nk~i~ Sorteberg stated that he intends to farm his land this year <br />and the~e~wo~/d be a problem with both he and the park requiring water <br />at the sa~e ~ime. He stated he is willing to discuss the possibility <br />with the ~a~ Board. <br /> <br />Councilme~ Van Wagner inquired if obtaining water from Sorteberg could <br />be viewedilas'~a conflict of interest. <br /> <br />Coun¢il~e~b~ Reimann stated that if the entire Council agreed and there were <br />a contract, ~here would be no conflict of interest. <br /> <br />Motion byi co~ncilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember Schlueter to <br />adopt Resolution %84-6 to revise bid specs for irrigation system at Central <br />Park to .specify a 300 gallon /minute well and to readvertise for bids and <br />said bids to ~be opened on March 20, 1984 at 11:00 a.m. at Ramsey Municipal <br />Center an~ Council to accept/award or reject bids at the regular meeting <br />of March 27, 11984. (Please refer to resolution file for Resolution #84-6). <br /> <br />Motion oaXrig~. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councitmembers Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Schlueter a~d Van Wagner.
