Sidney w$£ present to discuss upgrading Sunfish Lake Drive to gravel <br />and becO~ing[a City street. <br /> <br />~yor Gar~ec.~eplied that the residents would have to deed over the right-of-way <br />for that 'roa~, residents would have to pay for the upgrading and a variance <br />to the blacktop requirement is necessary. Mayor Gamec noted that it would be <br />simpler and iess expensive to the residents if they upgraded it to City <br />standards themselves and then turn the street over to the City. <br /> <br />Mr. Schn~lle stated that plans and specs for upgrading the road would have to <br />be reviewed ~y the City Engineer. <br /> <br />Mr. Goo.~rich~advised that the residents be sure Council is willing to waive <br />the bla¢~toplrequirement before doing anything. <br /> <br />Council~[ Sorteberg recommended that Mr. Schaumberg begin by getting a <br />petition [of~he residents requesting that the City waive the blacktop requirement. <br /> <br />Case #7~ AcCepting And Awarding Bid For Animal Control Contract For 1984: <br /> <br />Motion bY GO~ncilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember Reimann to <br />adopt Rg~ol~.,tion #84-7 accepting and awarding the bid for the animal control <br />contract ifori the City of Ramsey for calendar year 1984 to White Bear Animal <br />Control, ~Inc~ (Please refer to resolution file for Resolution #84-7). <br /> <br />i <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Schluete~ an~ Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #8~ [ W~,~er~ Treatment Proposal: <br />Motion bY Co~ncilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to <br />approve Of th.e water maintenance proposal submitted by Honeywell, Inc. in the <br />amount Of $3~4.00 annually. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Schluetm~ and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Mayor G~/~ec~oted that a leak because of a busted valve has damaged a portion <br />of the o~ili~g in the lower level at City Hall. Mayor Gamec authorized <br />City Staff t~ go for the lowest bid and get the ceiling repaired as soon as <br />possible~ <br /> <br />Case #9~1A~.~ndment To The Nuisance Ordinance: <br /> <br />Mr. Goo~ichlstated that the ordinance amendment, regarding storing of wood, <br />is modelled~after that of Coon Rapids. <br /> <br />Motion by co~ncilmember Sorteberg to adopt Ordinance #84-__entitled "Storage <br />of Wood"~ <br /> <br />Motion failsl for lack of a second. <br /> <br />council 9onS~nsus is that this ordinance is not necessary, any problems will <br />be addrB~sed~ as they come before Council and that City Staff should not <br />destroy' {he ~roposed ordinance amendment but rather keep it on file. <br /> <br /> ~ i~i ~ ~[ C/January 24, 1984 <br /> <br /> <br />
