Enciosul~e (DZ-c) contains City Staff's proposed resolution for Council review aad,.ad0~tiou which requests the DNR to delete approximately 10 acres from the ?fl~way. This enclosure also contains a copy of the plan showing the a~ea to ~e graded. Mr.i Ar{~ Raudio has presented a topographic map to the City of his property lytn'g east of State Trunk Highway ~47 and north of the Ramsey Development Park. A large portion of that property is located in the floodway of the Rum Ri~er. Mr.i Ra~t~ dio is requesting that the City pass a resolution and submit his t .opbgraphic map to the DNR requesting that approximately ten acres of hi~ q~r°l~erty be taken out of the floodway and rezoned accordingly. Filling overt aDproximately six acres of the area would be required to bring the area above the 100 year flood elevation of $53. In a meeting with the DNR, Ivtr. John Stein indicated that it is possible to ro~ove,lthis area from the floodway provided that the filling does not. increase the flO~d level by more than six inches and also that the filling does not restrict! the channel flow. The DNR will do a study of the effects of filling I thi~ area at the request of the City.
