DEVELOPMENT PLAN REVIEW OF RUM RIVER HILLS PLANNED UNIT ~ts Novenber 13, 1984 meeting, the Ramsey City Council passed a i'res~lution giving preliminary approval to the amended plan for the R~n iiRivDr Hills P.U.D., COntingent upon review of the plan by Metropolitan '~i(k)u~cil staff. ~he im~nded plan includes 23 single family residences (de~nsity: 1 unit per 6.9 acres), a driving range, a golf course, a 1/2 acre parcel for future commercial develolament, and one outlet : ifo~ future development. ~he applicant, Mr. Bill Dom, will have a ilfi ~al site plan of the develolm~nt available at the meeting. G%SE %6:I DiSfI3SSION REGARDING LETTER FROM METROPOLITAN COUNCIL DATED NOV- , ~.R 27, 1984 PERTAINING TO DENSITY CALCULATIONS AND DEVELOPMENT ~ ~his letter, which is contained as part of enclosure (D2-o), is a r%sponse to a review of the R~ River l~ills P.U.D. Mr. Jim Barton, M~tro Council staff, notes that the City of Ramsey must develop some w~y to COnsistently determine how the density of a proposed develop- ~nt affects the density standard of 1 in 10 set forth in the City's comprehensive Plan. Mr. Barton goes on to recommend that the City e 3tablish a policy for consistent development plan reviews and that u ~til this and the density issue are settled, to consider a brief ~0ratorit~ on all develoll~ent. Mr. Barton also stated that he would ke happy to come and discuss these matters with you if you wish. G%SE ~7 DISCUSSION REGARDING JAI~IARY PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION MEETI[~G regularly scheduled January meeting of the Planning and Zoning ~onmission is ~anuary 1, 1985. As this is a legal holiday, another ~ate for the regular monthly meeting needs to be selected. Chairman ~eterson has tentatively set the meeting date as Monday, January 7, ~.985. ~be Commission should make a motion to approve of rescheduling January meeting to that date.
