Councilmember <br />adoption: <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ~'92-11- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION. DENYING THE NATIONAL ATAXIA FOUNDATION'S <br />APPLICATi~ONii FOR A PREMISES PERMIT FOR GAMBLING AT J.R.'S <br />SALOON AND iFOOD <br /> WHEREAS, the National Ataxia Foundation has applied for a premises permit for <br />gambling at JiR.'s! Saloon and Food, 6141 Highway #10 N.W.; and <br /> wHEREAS, the National Ataxia Foundation conducts national research on the <br />disease of ataXia; and <br /> <br /> WHIgREfiS, Ramsey City Code Section 7.61.10 states that "Any licensed <br />organization t:onducting lawful gambling within the City shall be required to expend 75% <br />of its expend[turei for lawful purposes on lawful purposes conducted or located within the <br />City's trade agea tO the benefit of the City's trade area." <br /> <br />NOW THEREI~ORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF ~RAiMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as <br />follows: <br /> <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby denies the premises permit application of the <br />National AtaxiaFoundation for gambling at J.R.'s Saloon and Food, 6141 Highway #10 <br />N.W., ba~.~: on ithe fact that national research does not meet the intent of trade area <br />expenditur~st pursuant to Section 7.61.10 of the Ramsey City Code. <br /> <br />The motion, for~ the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember: and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in <br />favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereuPOn;said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this the!24th day of November, 1992. <br /> <br /> <br />
