Expenditures tot Lawful Purposes Within City's Trade Area <br /> <br />Any licensed organization conducting lawful gambling within the City shall ~ required to expend <br />,5 ,c of its expenditures for lawful purposes on lawful purposes conducted or located within ~t~c <br />City's trade area to thc b'znefit of the City's trndc area. <br /> <br />In the event the City is unable to determine with a reasonable de~ee of certainty that the required <br />75% of the iicensed organization's expenditures for lawful purposes is being expended on lawful <br />purposes, the City Adminisnmtor may require such other financial information as is reasonably <br />necessary for the Cfi)' to make tkis determination. <br /> <br />For purposes of this subsection, the tcm~ "trade area" is defined ms the Cities of Ramsey,/moka, <br />Andover, and the Town of Bums in Anoka Count>,, the CiD' of Elk River in Sherburne Count>, <br />and the C~tv of Dayton in Hennepin County. For purposes of the subsection, the term "lawful <br />purpose (s/' is that definition assigned to it by Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 349. This subsection <br />shall apply to all licensed organizations conctucnng lawful gambling within the City. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. REPEAL <br /> <br />Section 7,62 of the City. Code entitled, "Bingo" is hereby repealed. <br /> <br />SECTION 4. VIOLATIONS <br /> <br />Anyone who violates the provisions of this section shall be guilt>, of a misdemeanor. This sect/on does <br />not preclude civil and criminal penalties under applicable laws. Failure to make timely reports and <br />payment of taxes as required by this section ma)' result in a recommendation to the B~oard that the <br />organization's premises permit should be revoked. <br /> <br />SECTION 5. EFFECTIVE DATE <br /> <br />The effective date of this Ordinance is th/my (30) days after its passage and publication, subject to City <br />Charter Section 5.07. <br /> <br />PASSED by the Cin' Council of the CiD' of Ramsey.
