Further discussion: Commissioner Deemer expressed concern about the complaints that have been <br />receivecl regarding Danny's Aluminum Processing, Inc. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Holland, Terry, Deemer, <br />L, aDue and Thorud. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Hendriksen. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Holland and seconded by Commissioner Terry to amend//27 to read <br />"That the proposed use will be harmonious with and in accordance with any specific objectives of <br />the Comprehensive Plan." <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Holland, Terry, Deemer, <br />L,aDue and Thorud. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Hendriksen. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Terry to add a finding to read <br />"That current operating conditions are not in compliance with the conditional use permit in <br />existence". <br /> <br />Further discussion: Commissioner Terry stated that since no charges or complaints have been filed <br />by Staff against Mr. Karst, maybe he is not in violation of his existing CUP. Mr. Schroeder stated <br />that the proposal as is presented gives rise to the belief it is an improvement. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Deemer, Terry, Holland, <br />La.Due and Thoruu& Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Hendriksen. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Holland and seconded by Commissioner LaDue to amend #28 to read <br />"That the proposed use will be designed, constructed, operated and maintained so as to be <br />harmonious and appropriate in appearance with the existing or intended character of the general <br />'~4cinity and will not change the essential character of the area. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Holland, LaDue, Deemer, <br />Terry and Thomd. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Hendriksen.; <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Thorud and seconded by Commissioner HoLland to delete #29 which <br />reads 'What the proposed use will'/will not be an improvement to property in the immediate vicirdty <br />and to the community as a whole". <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioner Thorud, Holland, Deemer, <br />La.Due and Terry. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Hendriksen. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Terry and seconded by Commissioner Deemer to amend #20 to read <br />"That the proposed use will create additional requirements at public cost for public facilities and <br />services." <br /> <br />Further discussion: Ms. Frotik asked for clarification on "will create additional requirements...". <br />Commissioner Terry stated it pertains to the Police Officers going out on calls about the processing <br />plant. Ms. Frolik inquired if he felt another officer would have to be put on duty and ff not will it <br />really create additional requirements at public cost? <br /> <br />Motion fa/ted. Voting Yes: Commissioners Deemer, LaDue and Terry. Voting No: Chairperson <br />Bawden, Commissioners Holland and Thorud.
