Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Terry to add a finding to read <br />"That a public hearing was conducted by the Planning and Zoning Commission on September 1, <br />t 992 and two persons spoke in opposition to the conditional use permit amendment request". <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Deemer, Terry, Holland, <br />La.Due and Thorud. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Hendriksen. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Holland to recommend that City <br />Council adopt a resolution adopting findings of fact, as amended, relating to Danny's Aluminum <br />Processing, Inc.'s request for an amended conditional use permit. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Deemer, Holland, LaDue, <br />Terry and Thorud. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Hendriksen. <br /> <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission meeting recessed at 9:31 p.m. <br /> <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission meeting reconvened at 9:42 p.m. <br /> <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission proceeded to review the terms of the proposed conditional <br />use permit for Danny's Aluminum Processing, Inc. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner LaDue to amend #10 to read <br />"Disassembly of engines, transmissions and preparation of feedstock shall not be permitted on the <br />Site under this Conditional Use Permit unless conducted wholly within a building in accord with <br />State and federal requirements". <br /> <br />Motion carnet. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Deemer, LaDue, Holland, <br />Terry and Thorud. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Hendriksen. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Holland to amend #12 to read <br />"Batteries shall be stored in a leak proof and acid resistant container in accordance with Anoka <br />County and MPCA regulations". <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Deemer, Holland, LaDue, <br />Terry and Thoru& Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Hendriksen. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner LaDue and seconded by Commissioner Holland to amend #13 to read <br />"The exterior storage of any materials on the site, either unprocessed or processed, shall be limited <br />to a six (6) year rime frame from the date of approval of this CUP, shall be screened from public <br />view, and shall be limited to pile heights of eight (8) feet. At six (6) years, all exterior storage is <br />prohibited and all site operations must be conducted wholly within buildings." <br /> <br />Further discussion: Commissioner Deemer felt that this finding is too general. <br /> <br />Morion carried.
