Once a decision on the aforementioned technical specification for the street lighting policy has been
made, Staff would request authorization to install priority intersection street lighting at the enclosed
list of locations. These locations have been selected because they would serve subdivisions for
which developers have deposited escrow monies for street lighting. The cost of these installations
will be $11,185 and will be financed from a fund of $20,400 provided by escrow funds from the
benefitted subdivisions. The remaining monies in the escrow fund will allow for the operation and
maintenance of these lights for approximately a nine year period.

Council Action:

City Council should specify any changes it desires to existing City policy, direct City Engineer to
revise street lighting policy, if deemed necessary, and authorize expenditure of escrow funds for
priority intersection street lights.

Reviewed by:

City Administrator
Finance Officer
City Engineer
Planning and Zoning Commission

CC:09/22/92
