As a business owner and property owner in Ramsey, I feel it is my' right and duty to let you know how I feel about the development of the business community. Below. I have outlined a few thoughts on this issue. - ~ 1) We should respect and work with the businesses that have already established themselves in the area rather than turn our backs on them in hopes of attracting new businesses. .- '2i People with whom I come in contact ask where Ramsey is. When I tell them "just northwest of Anoka on Highway 10", they respond, "is that where that big hill is?"' Then I have to tell them what the hill is made of. My concern is if we continue to invite recyclers and other' scrap collectors into our backyard, we may become known as 'q'he Junk Capital of the World". i believe there is a need for recyclers, but.maybe somewhere else ,,",,auld be better. -, 3) We need to look at the number of jobs the area businesses are currently providing, to look at the value and impact they have on the area, and what adverse effect there might be if they decided to move out of the area. 4) ParaBody is in the process of hiring approximately 50 new team members due to the continued growth of our market: As we continue to grow and expand we must continually evaluate Our business climate, the value of property and the general working environment.
