Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION ~)2-08- RESOLUTION NAMING "BEAR" AND "EMERALD POND" PARKS WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council desires to protect, enhance and provide safe parks for passive and active recreation; and WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council continues to support recreational improvements; and WHEREAS, unbiased public facility names encourage neighborhood and park identity and stewardship; and WHEREAS, the three acre City park located at approximately 15500 Roanoke Street N.W. shall be hereby named "Bear Park"; and WHEREAS, the 13 acre'City park located at approximately 6000 142nd Lane N.W. shall be hereby named "Emerald Pond Park"; and WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council directs City Staff to cause placement of the appropriate park signs within these parks. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City Council formally adopts the names of Bear and Emerald Pond Parks. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember . and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duty passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the llth day of August, 1992.
