Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ~)2-08- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NAMING "BEAR" AND "EMERALD POND" PARKS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council desires to protect, enhance and provide safe parks <br />for passive and active recreation; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council continues to support recreational improvements; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, unbiased public facility names encourage neighborhood and park identity <br />and stewardship; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the three acre City park located at approximately 15500 Roanoke Street <br />N.W. shall be hereby named "Bear Park"; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the 13 acre'City park located at approximately 6000 142nd Lane N.W. shall <br />be hereby named "Emerald Pond Park"; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council directs City Staff to cause placement of the <br />appropriate park signs within these parks. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council formally adopts the names of Bear and Emerald Pond Parks. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember . <br /> and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duty passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this <br />the llth day of August, 1992. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />City Administrator <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />! <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br /> <br />
