Basic Services of the EnClineer on Improvement Proiects: <br /> <br />!(21 <br /> <br />Feasibility Report: THE ENGINEER shall meet with THE CITY staff <br />and/or developer(s) to discuss the proposed Proiect and the scope of <br />the report. THE ENGINEER shall then perform the necessary research <br />and analysis and write a draft report. Following completion of the <br />draft report, it shall be reviewed by THE CITY staff and developer(s) <br />and modified as directed by THE CITY Staff. The final report will be <br />bound and up to 10 copies provided toTHE CITY. THE ENGINEER shall <br />provide the City a detailed proposed schedule for preparation of plans <br />and specifications through construction completion. THE ENGINEER <br />shall make a presentation to the City Council and at public hearing(s) <br />scheduled by the City Council. Visual aid charts shall be included as <br />part of the feasibility report. <br /> <br />Contract Documents: From the approved feasibility report THE <br />ENGINEER shall prepare drawings, specifications, and other <br />necessary documents completely describing the material and work- <br />manship required and procedures to be followed for the construction <br />of the Project. THE ENGINEER shall adjust the feasibility report <br />construction cost estimate to include changes in the scope of the <br />Project, THE CITY's requirements, and market conditions. Contract <br />documents shall include alternate proposals when requested by THE <br />CITY. <br /> <br />(3) <br /> <br />Plans and specifications shall be reviewed by THE ENGINEER, City <br />Staff and developer(s) of the property(s) where applicable. THE <br />ENGINEER shall present or send plans and specifications including <br />required application forms to various agencies for approval as <br />necessary, including Department of Natural Resources, Watershed <br />Boards, Pollution Control Agency, Department of Health, County <br />Highway Department, Minnesota Department of Transportation and <br />others. THE ENGINEER shall present plans and specifications to the <br />City Council for their approval. <br /> <br />Receipt of Prooosals: THE ENGINEER shall prepare advertisement <br />for bids incorporating times and dates set forth by the City Council. <br />THE ENGINEER shall furnish up to 1 5 sets of drawings (full- or half <br />size) and specifications, as directed by THE CITY for the use of bidders <br />in submitting proposals. THE ENGINEER shall assist THE CITY in <br />securing proposals from bidders, in analyzing such proposals, in <br />making recommendations to City Council, and in preparing the <br />construction contract for execution by the Contractor. <br /> <br /> <br />
