No customer shall be <br />~i ~rovided with water unless such meter has been installed. <br />', Remote readers shall be installed with each meter by the City at a <br />~ location designated by the City. <br /> <br />~f. ~he customer is prohibited from obstructing the meter so as to <br /> interfere with the reading or repairing of the water meter or <br /> ~cemote reader. <br /> <br />ig. ~The City shall insure that every customer is provided with a <br /> ~inimum 5/8" water meter. An appropriate charge, reflective of <br /> the size of meter, will be required for the use of the meter. This <br /> ~harge shall be established by City Council resolution. <br /> <br />ih.~Every water meter shall be sealed by the City at the time of <br />~ !nstallati°n or repair. No person shall break or remove said seal. <br />i ~ny broken seal or removed water meter shall be reported to the <br />~- City within 24 hours of such action. <br /> <br />i. If any meters are damaged by freezing, hot water, etc., either by <br /> ~arelessness or neglect of the customer, said customer must pay <br /> ~or the repair of such meters. The cost of ordinary maintenance <br /> i and repairs of all meters owned by the City shall be borne by the <br /> City. <br /> <br />~. At the written request of any customer, the City will test, or cause <br /> ~.o be tested, the meter supplying the premises of the customer. If <br /> desired, the customer may be present at the time any such test is <br /> ~made. The result of any such test shall be reported to the <br /> Customer in every case and if the meter registers in excess of ten <br /> l~ercent (10%) error, this test will be performed at no charge. <br /> <br />k. I~f the testing of a meter, as hereinabove provided, indicates that it <br />~egisters in excess of ten percent error, the charge to the customer <br />for water used during the quarter and previous quarter within <br />Which such test is made shall be equitably adjusted by the City on <br />r ~he basis of the meter test results. Any other adjustment of <br /> ~harges for water supplied through meters shall be made only by <br /> ~he Council. <br /> <br />Sul~L 5. Water Connections <br />a. The minimum size water service shall be one inch (1") copper. <br /> <br />b. 'T~e corporation cock inserted in the distributing pipe must be of <br /> ~he size specified on the permit order.
