FROM 153RD <br />;N,W. TO JUNIPER RIDGE DRIVE N.W. <br /> <br /> W~EI~EAS, the segment of Roanoke Street N.W. between Juniper Ridge Drive <br />N.W. and 153rd Avenue N.W. is presently unmarked for speed limit; and <br /> <br /> WitIEgEAS, this street segment has adjacent suburban development which is not <br />sufficiently den, se for the segment to be defined by State Statute 169.01.59 as an urban <br />district Which W, ould be eligible for a 30 m.p.h, speed limit; and <br /> W~EREAS, the existing unposted speed limit is 55 m.p.h, which is <br />inapproPri~tte fdr the suburban development existing along the segment. <br /> ., <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF ~AMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as <br />follows: · <br /> <br />1) That th6, City Engineer is hereby authorized to request a traffic study by Mn/DOT <br /> for ithe: ,~treet known as Roanoke Street N.W. between 153rd Avenue N.W. and <br /> Jun!per Ridge Drive N.W. <br /> <br />2) That up~,n completion of the traffic study the City Engineer shall have 153rd <br /> Av~nue~ N.W. posted with the correct speed as soon as the required signs are <br /> ava~abl6. <br /> <br />The motion fOr the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmethberl and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in <br />favor thereCJf: ~ <br /> <br />and the follbwirtg voted against the same: <br />and the follbWinlg abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereuponisa!d resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council thi~ the [26th day of May, 1992. <br /> <br /> <br />
