Planning Commission. Park and Recreation Commission. 'r Develop, recommend, and upon adoption by the City Council, monitor the <br /> ~ execution of a comprehensive plan for the recreation and natural resources <br /> ~ function of Ramsey. Report to the City Council regarding achievements <br /> i : i toward fulfillment of the comprehensive plan and recommend amendments to <br /> ~ ~ the plan as necessary. <br /> b. ! Continually review and evaluate the park system development and recreation <br /> ' ~, programming. Develop and recommend methods to stimulate positive public <br /> I interest in the recreation and natural resources functions. <br /> <br /> ¢. Monitor and reflect attitudes and consensus of citizens relative to the park <br /> system and recreation programs and serve as a forum for the citizens to voice <br /> their opinions regarding the recreation and natural resources function. <br /> <br /> Promote coordination with the school district(s) serving Ramsey, encouraging <br /> the interchangeable use of city and school district facilities and programs to <br /> ~the best interests of the citizens. Encourage coordination with other <br /> . communities to the extent appropriate in matters pertinent to the recreation and <br /> natural resources function. <br /> <br /> ¢. :Encourage dissemination of information to, and coordinate with, Ramsey <br /> [organizations interested in the recreation and natural resources function, such <br /> :tis athletic groups, youth groups, civic organizations, etc. <br /> f. iDevelop and recommend feasible programs relative to the conservation of our <br /> ~environment. <br />Subdivision 3. Economic Development Commission. The primary <br />objective of the!.Eco~omic Development Commission is to further the economic development of <br />Ramsey and vi~im~' ty; to aid, assist and promote the growth, expansion and development of <br />business and in~lus~al concerns, including small business concerns in said area and thereby to <br />contribute to th6economic well-being of the area as measured by increased employment, payroll, <br />business volnm~, ta>~ base and corresponding factors.
