' i MUNICIPAL WATER AND SEWER UTiLITiES <br />This ordinahce ils adopted pursuant to Chapter 11, Section 11.01 of the~'//"Ramsey <br />City Charte, an~ is intended to satisfy the requirements of said Section 11.01. <br /> <br />4.40 <br /> <br />Any municipal ~ater system and/or sanitary sewer system which is constructed <br />in the City ~f ~amsey pursuant to the City of Ramsey Code regulations shall be <br />operated as~puS~lic utilities and all revenues and operating expenditures of said <br />utilities sha!l bd properly accounted for in a separate municipal fund which shall <br />be a combined Water and sewer utility fund. The Council shall have authority to <br />establish fe~ foi' connection to and use of the municipal water and sanitary sewer <br />systems fr~ tithe to time by resolution. <br />4.41 DEFINITIONS <br /> <br />Unless the ~ont~xt clearly indicates otherwise, the words, terms and phrases, as <br />used in Section ~10.20 et seq. shall have the meanings set forth in the paragraphs <br />of this sect~in w~n~ ich follow: · <br /> <br /> 1. '~un!eipal Water System" or "City Water" Shall mean the municipal <br /> w~ter !system of the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />2. "S~wage" shall mean a combination of the water-carried wastes from <br /> re~idance, business buildings, institutions and industrial <br /> establishments. <br /> <br />3. "S~ewer" shall mean a pipe or conduit for carrying sewage. <br /> <br />4. "Pt~bHc Sewer" or'TClunicipal Sewer" shall mean the municipal sewer <br /> system of the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />5. "I~du~trial Wastes" shall mean the liquid wastes from industrial <br /> processes as distinct from sanitary sewage. <br /> <br />6. "Sani{_ary Sewer" shall mean a sewer which carries sewage and to <br /> wh]ch l storm, surface and ground waters are not intentionally <br /> admit;ed. <br /> <br />7. "Ci. ty"i shall mean City of Ramsey or its duly appointed agents or <br /> representatives. <br /> <br />8. "Person" shall mean any individual, firm, company, association, <br /> soaety? corporation or group. <br /> <br />9.
