4. The Service pipe must extend from the main to the inside o£ the btiildi~g, or, if not taken into a building, then to the hydrant or other fi~turbs which it is intended to supply. A stop cock accessible from the sarfaCe through a sleeve without digging in all cases must be placed oqtsi~e in a box at the property line. All stop boxes and cocks must be agpro~ved by the City. All stop boxes at the property line must be set in front ~f the building intended to be supplied or as approved by the City. T~e slop cock, together with box and cover, are the property of the City arid all unauthorized persons are forbidden to interfere with them. 5. T~e s~rvice pipe from the City watermain to the meter shall enter the b~ildibg so that the meter horn is in a horizontal position. In no case sldoul~t there be more than twelve (12) inches of pipe exposed between th~ po~int of the entrance through the basement floor and the stop. 6. The Water pipe connecting with the municipal water main shall have nc~ joints therein when located under the basement or slab floor. 7. If,'l foriany cause, a person laying the service pipe should fail to have the eo~Po~ation cock inserted or the connection made to the curb stop at the ti~e ~pecified in his application, a written notice to that effect must be left with the City fixing another day on which he wishes to make said eo~ne~tion. A notice must be given at least two days previous to the ex~cav~tion for the laying of a service pipe and the connection made b~for~ 4:00 p.m., except in a special case and then the work shall be do.he 'only on written order from the City. The water s~rvice to a building shall not be turned on in freezing weather unless the temperatture!~nth~n smd bmldmg ~s 50 degrees or above. No msre than one house or building or in the case of townhouses, one urfit, /~hall be supplied from one water service pipe except by special PermiSsion of the City. Whenever two or more parties are supplied fr0~rn .O~ne pipe connecting with the distribution main, each building or Part of. the building must have a separate stop box at the curb. 2. No, water pipe of the municipal water system shall be connected with a,n~ pi~mp, well pipe or tank that is connected with any source other thsn the city water system.
