SANITARY SEWER CONNECTIONS <br />OPERATI01~I, lt~E~ CORDS AND INSPECTION <br /> 1. The.~ City shall provide for the proper operation and maintenance of the <br /> m~nic.tpal water system and the municipal sanitary sewer system and <br /> sh~ll ~nforce all rules and regulations pertaining to the same. <br /> <br /> 2. Tl~e, City shall keep a record of the location and size of all parts of the <br /> mt~nicipal sewer systems, connections thereto, and other <br /> m~asujrements or records which may be necessary. <br /> <br /> 3. T . ~ity shall superintend all connections for service, inspect all <br /> se~i¢~ pipes and the premises to ensure that the installation conforms <br /> to ,~he .intent of the Plumbing Code. <br /> <br /> 4. N~ sarldtary sewer sermce line between the sanitary sewer main and the <br /> pi~mb!ng system of any dwelling, building or other structure to be <br /> se~ved[ shall be installed until a connection permit has been obtained <br /> fromm :t~e City and the appropriate fees set by the Council from time to <br /> tir~e are paid. In installing said sanitary sewer service tine the <br /> aPPliCant shall adhere to standards regarding location, size, grade, <br /> materijals and workmanship as required by the Plumbing Code. After <br /> th$ s'~nitary sewer service connection has been accomplished the <br /> aP~lia~.nt shall notify the City. It shall be unlawful to cover the sanitary <br /> se~er .~ervice line until an inspection has been completed to insure that <br /> ~ p. roP~r and suitable connection has been made. <br /> <br /> 5. N°l' sanitary sewer connection shall be made to any dwelling, building <br /> or Vth,r structure unless the dwelling, building or other structure has <br /> al x;ient$d main line. <br />APPLICATIONS, FOR SERVICE <br /> 1. <br /> <br />Th~ o~ner of all dwellings, buildings, other structures or properties <br />Wl~e~relcesspools or septic tanks have been in existence prior to <br />corlstraction of a sanitary sewer shall connect with the public sanitary <br />se~er Iwhen such cesspools and septic tanks are in need of repair, <br />rec~ns~;ruction or pumping, or within two (2) years of the date that <br />m ~%~n. ici pal sanitary sewer service is available to the premises, <br />Wliich~ver is first to occur. Any property owner who can demonstrate <br />their hookup to municipal sewer is not feasible due to distance, to <br />topk)gr~phy or pending land use change shall not be required to hookup. <br /> <br />No !buildings located on property lying outside the limits of the City shall <br />be ~onhected to the City sanitary sewer system ~fithout first having a <br />resp]ut~on by the City in whose jurisdiction the property lies stating that <br />the~y h~ve no objection to such connection. <br /> <br />Page 8 <br /> <br /> <br />
