TH AVENUE NOR'I~H <br /> ANOKA, MINNESOTA 55303 <br /> <br />April 7, 1992 <br /> <br />Mr. Donald Otter <br />Regional Landfill Manager <br />The Landfill Management Center <br />North 96 Wi 13503 County Line Road <br />Menominee Falls, wi 53051 <br /> <br /> Re: City of Anoka and City of Ramsey vs. Waste Management of <br /> ~innesota, Inc. <br /> <br />Dear Don: <br /> <br /> The following is intended to summarize Waste Management of <br />Minnesota,'InC.'S ("Waste Management") offer to settle the above <br />lawsuit wi%h the City of Ramsey ("Ramsey") and based on your <br />conversations with Ryan Schroeder, Ramsey City Administrator: <br /> <br />Waste Management will guarantee a minimum $200,000.00 <br />~ipping fee to Ramsey for the period January 1, 1992 <br />through December 31, 1993. <br /> <br />Waste Management will pay Ramsey $75,000.00 cash upon <br />settlement of the lawsuit with Ramsey. <br /> <br />~as~e Management will deduct no closure/post closure fee <br />fro~ its monthly tipping fee payments to Ramsey. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />Ramsey will extend the term of the CUP for the operation <br />Of the existing landfill through December 31, 1993. <br /> <br />Waste Management will deed a 50 acre parcel lying <br />~enerally north of the existing landfill to Ramsey, per <br />theloriginal "ski hill" agreement. <br /> <br />Waste Management will deed a 22 acre parcel adjacent to <br />Sunfish Lake Boulevard and south of 153rd Avenue to <br />RamSey. <br /> <br />Waste Management will execute in favor of Ramsey, a First <br />Right of Refusal Agreement giving Ramsey a first right <br />of .refusal on the "Tri-Co property" which is an <br />approximate 70 acre tract lying south of the City of <br />Anoka landfill parcel. <br /> <br /> <br />
