Please take the time to review this letter and provide City <br />Attom{ y Goodrich or myself with direction at your earliest convenience. <br /> <br />Bike P~.~ ad-,co Donation: At the last Negotiating Committee meeting it was brought up by <br />COune!lme,i'nber Beyer that Jim Singewald of the Police Department has asked for a <br />donation from the City in the amount of $110.00 for the purchase of a bicycle from K-Mart <br />to be; cl~nat~xl during the Bike Road-co. The discussion at the meeting was that possibly <br />membqrs O!the Council could all personally donate towards this purchase. <br />Detachment/Annexation with the City of Anoka: Attached for your review is a <br />memo~ndUm with exhibits from City Attorney Goodrich regarding the proposed land <br />swap ~at ~vas discussed at the September 1991 joint meeting of the Anoka/Ramsey <br />Coun¢tJs. ~According to Mr. Goodrich, to complete this task would require minimal legal <br />time arid shpuld this Council wish to proceed, you will note that a resolution will need to be <br />passediby both the Cities of Anoka and Ramsey to complete the transaction. Mr. Mark <br />Nagel ,Will ibc requesting funding from his Council in order to cost-share and they are <br />currently v~orking on legal descriptions for the two parcels as is required as part of the <br />resolut!on. <br />McKir~ley Street Extension: On Tuesday, April 7, 1992, Councilmember Glen Hardin, <br />City Aitorrtey Bill Goodrich and I met with Leonard Spohn and Marv Eggum as well as <br />legal Couns~l for Mary Eggum regarding the completion of the McKinley Street Extension <br />throug~ the~ property. A second meeting has been set for Monday, April 20, 1992 at 3:00 <br />p.m; a/~ theI Ramsey City Hall. Should Council desire, additional edification could be <br />provided by either of the three members in attendance at the last meeting. <br /> <br />5) <br /> <br />6) <br /> <br />Recently CPuncil authorized Staff to enter into a development agreement with Dickman <br />KnutsOn re!ative to the Wood Pond Projects contingent upon review by the Road and <br />Bridge~Committee. This review has not yet occurred in that we just received a comment <br />letter On otly draft from Charlie Lefevere of the Holmes & Graven firm and it is Staff's <br />intent t~ cOh~plete the draft and have it reviewed by City Attorney Goodrich precedent to <br />revieTM ~y ~e Committee. It is our intent to complete this within the next week and bring it <br />to Road and Bridge the week after that. <br /> <br />Council WOrkshops with City Staff: During the City Administrator's review, Council <br />expres~xt aidesire to meet with each of the departments to discuss issues of concern to City <br />Staff arid re~uest edification on areas of proposed improvement.
