The purpose of this will be to allow the Fire Chief to inspect the site and determine
at that time if all conditions of this permit are satisfied and to determine in general if safe
conditions exist for burning on the proposed dates and during the times while burning is
conducted.

8) All burning will take place in two (2) pits constructed on the site. The pits will be a
maximum of twenty feet (20') to forty feet (40') in width, forty feet (40') to sixty feet (60')
in length and a minimum of ten feet (10') to twelve feet (12') in depth. Each pit will be
bermed with earth along all sides except the working side. The berms shall be a minimum
of seven feet (7') high in order to eliminate Highway #10 visibility and winds reaching into
the fire and scattering embers. In the event of a need to extinguish the fire, the berms will
be used as smother cover.

9) A representative ofF & R will be present on site at all times when burning is being
conducted.

10) F & R will have on site at all times, when burning is conducted, equipment
sufficient to provide for the suppression of the fire and fire hazard.

11) The burning pits shall be in locations receiving written approval of the Ramsey City
Fire Chief.

12) F & R shall apply for a volume based open burning permit from the City of Ramsey
at a fee of $0.25/cubic yard.

13) F & R shall provide a surety in a form approved by the City of Ramsey Finance
Officer in the amount of $30,000 from which fire suppression expenditures incurred by the
City of Ramsey or its designee shall be payable. Further, response of the Ramsey Fire
Department shall be at the rate of $250/hour.

The motion for the
Councilmember
favor thereof:

adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in

and the following voted against the same:

and the following abstained:

and the following were absent:

whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the City Council this
the 25th day of February, 1992.
