Councilmember adoption: introduced the following resolution and moved for its RESOLUTION g92.01- RESOLUTION APPOINTING TO THE NORTH SUBURBAN CONSUMER ADVOCATES FOR THE HANDICAPPED, INC. (NSCAH) ORGANIZATION FOR CALENDAR YEAR 1992 WHEREAS, North Suburban Consumer Advocates for the Handicapped, Inc. (NSCAH) is an organization of persons with physical or mental disabilities, relatives and concerned citizens. Its main purpose is to identify and study issues facing the disabled, such as architectural and attitudinal barriers. It advocates social and environmental changes and tries to obtain community support for implementing these changes; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has, in the past, appointed a liaison to represent the City on NSCAH and paid for membership dues; and WIIEREAS, the City advertised for a representative to NSCAH in the December Ramsey Resident newsletter and received applications from Linda Cazett and Violet McMahon. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council hereby appoints on NSCAH for calendar year 1992. as Ramsey's representative(s) 2) That the membership dues of $12 ($24 if two representatives are appointed) will be funded through 101-4345-001130 which directs the charges to General Fund, Administration, Services and Charges, Dues, Memberships and Subscriptions. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 28th day of January, I992.
