GRANT APPLICATION <br />By: Mike Auspos, Police Chief <br /> <br />CASE <br /> <br />On Deceaii?er ~0, 1991 I received an application from the State of Minnesota announcing a <br />grant pr0garC for communities which are just starting a D.A.R.E. program. The amount <br />of the ~aht ii up to $4,000 and one-half of the grant will be distributed in February of <br />19921and ~.he.) Dst in December of 1992. The deadline for submitting this grant request is <br />January 27, 1[ }2. Finance Officer Helling and I have completed the form and sent it in for <br />appr°vaf.--~ir~, e I was not prepared for the January 14, 1992 Council meeting and had lost <br />track '-of ih~Ja uary 27, 1992 application date deadline, this is being submitted to Council <br />sornewhat~aft~ ,' the fact. We are not, of course, bound to accept the grant by having made <br />applicatiolh.
