At that nme
the departmeD.~feli'iit would have to consider the initial cut by the budget Committee to be fiscally
necessary. T~ b~lance of those cuts were approved; however, due to additional potential cut
backs, we held~°ff~ny purchases and awaited the results. It is now my understanding that these
cut backs are c~mir~g to an end and the cuts are not as drastic as initially thought.
~.
The Fire Depa~tme~}t is requesting the Budget Committee to consider the original budgeted request.
these radios arc esS{~ntial to maintain a safe and controlled working environment while performing
the task necess[trY fbr life safety, property conservation and fire suppression.

Committee &ctio
Motion to aPprOve t

[

[

he purchase of the hand held radios requested by the Fire Department.

Review

Che&lisf:

Copies also distributed to:

Fire Chief

BC: 4/28/92

Finance Officer
City Administrator
