Since I moved to <br />R~msey four years ago, I've noticed that residents have a <br />g~e.at deal of pride in their community and react strongly <br />tO b'.usinesses and industry that do not fit the image <br />r~$i~dents, have of their community (i.e., the incinerator, <br />t~e '.dirty book store, and airport expansion). I don't <br />tbi~k residents are anti-growth or progress but would like <br />tO ~ttract appropriate business and industry and to help <br />d~velop small businesses already located here in Ramsey. <br />T~i~ is an exciting challenge that I would like to <br />p~,rt',icipate in. My skills and experience in community <br />o~g~nizing and program development would be assests I <br />cduld bring to this position, as well as my training in <br />i~w.' I am very eager to learn and would be willing to <br />wqrk:'hard. Developed cooperative program with <br /> the Pavek Museum and sought and received first <br /> year funding of $20,000. Working as part of a <br /> team to implement a self-guided tour program. <br /> Currently initiating and developing a volunteer <br /> program. <br /> <br />19180-83 ,' Community and political organizer. Served as <br /> ' ~ campaign manager, volunteer coordinator, <br /> <br />director of voter contact, strategist and <br />consultant for local electoral and community <br />issues campaigns. Field Director for U.S. <br />Congressional campaign. <br /> <br /> <br />
