CASE #3 I HIGHWAY #10 CORRIDOR STUDY i By: James Gromberg, Project Manager Background:i As discussed a~ its January 8, 1992 meeting, the Economic Development Commission will be reviewing the I~ligh~ay #10 Corridor Study by dividing it into sections, reviewing each section and making rec0~endations for changes before its presentation to the City Council to be used as a planning docd~ment in the futu e. secti~ The first °£1the study that was recommended for review and change was the Economic Development i~pta~tial section underneath the Implementation part of the document, specifically pages 59 and ~i~. nor your information, I have attached copies of these two pages of the Highway #10 Corridor SIudyI in a double spaced format to allow you to insert your recommendations for changes and/or ~u~gestions for new goals that could be adopted by the City. In some cases ~heiCity has initiated the completion of the proposed actions of the Highway #10 Corridor StUd.y,~, if~this was in fact the case, as with the development of monument signs and development o'f fiaancxal mcennves, I have indicated that after the individual goals and listed the actual steps :th~ h~ve been taken. I would like to remind the Commission that it should look at some of these' o~s as long-term, as they may take a few years to develop. Some of the goals listed may be a~ ~o~plished effeCtively by the creation and the use of a local arm of the Anoka Area Chamber of Cc nrta' Crce, which has been suggested in the past. The creation of a local arm of the Anoka Area C~ Wnbbr of Commerce has been listed as a 1992 goal for the EDC.
