CASE # <br /> <br /> CHAPTER 2 OF THE CITY CODE <br />By: Ryan Schroeder, City Administrator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />At the last Fire 13~ard meeting, an item of discussion was how many voting members could be on <br />the Fire Boar~l and whether additional members could be on the Fire Board that did not vote. <br />Enclosed for gout review is Section 2.03.01 of the City Code regarding Boards and Commissions <br />which was jus~t p~.ssed by the Council. You will note that Subdivision 1 establishes the Fire Board <br />as a Board of (thelCity, Section 2.03.02 Subdivisions 1 and 2 deals with members of the Board and <br />Section 2.03~06 ~;ubdivision 4, page 134 of the enclosure, deals with duties of the Fire Board. <br />The net end r~sul;t~of the above is that up to nine voting resident members can exist on the Board <br />with any numl~er~f ex-officio members as appointed by Council. <br /> <br />Board Action: <br /> <br />This is for information purposes. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br />City Administ~at°r <br /> <br />FB: 05/20/92 <br /> <br />Copies also distributed to: <br />Fire Chief <br /> <br /> <br />
