Motion by Bq}ar~ember Drahos and seconded by Boardmember Pearson to recommend to City Council that .~ ~itional disability benefits are due to Mr. Jay Guimont as a result of his injury on October 21, 1.~90 ~hile serving as a Ramsey Fire Fighter and that Mr. Guimont be informed when his case goes !o ~!ty Council which would allow him the opportunity to appear before the Council. Case #3: R~quest for Change in Current Pay Schedule Chief Griffin !tat~ the Fire Department would like to change the current pay schedule for fire calls from $5.00 Pi ~ h{}/ar after the first two hours to a straight $5.00/hour. The majority of the fire calls for the year lr~.~,~ve ~ken approximately one to one and one-half hours and then a routine one-half hour for mai' [te~ance clean-up and back-in-service inspections of all the equipment. The Fire Fighters are p'~tt!ag, in two hours and getting paid for one hour. They agree that the drills and the trainings will':l'ertt~in at the current pa>, schedule which is $5.00 for each four hours of trainings or meetings. H~aai:ied that if there is a fire call and it is cancelled before the "trucks roll", the Fire Fighters do n~ gi paid for that call. Case #4: i Dl:Seusslon Regarding Tanker #2 F~e Fighter B~.uc},Bachler stated that Tanker #2 (the old milk truck) has numerous problems such as engine, r~en~liand transmission. He also suggested a tag axle be put on the truck. Chief Griffin~stilt~ed a new tanker would cost between $40,000 and $50,000 and that the department is Cot!asking for a new truck, only direction to possibly resolve the problems with the old truck. City Admini~;ffatOr;Schroeder requested Chief Griffin to get cost estimates for the following: 1) a new cab and:chaSsis and utilize the old tank; and 2) a cost estimate to buy a new or used truck, complete.
