Small platforms next to shallow water <br /> should have a curb stop 2 to 4 inches high on the water side. Larger platforms and those next to deep water <br /> should have railings. The platform should be accessible with the transition from the platform to the access <br /> path completely smooth, and a hinged approach ramp to compensate for any shifting of the fishing structure. <br />2. Platforms should have a minimum frontage of 5 feet per person and a minimum depth of g feet, <br />3. The length of the pier is <br />based upon the particular lake conditions; appropriate railings are included. <br />Each angler should have 4 feet of frontage. To fish safely from both sides, a pier should be at least 8 feet wide. <br />The pier should be accessible with the transition from the platform to the access path completely smooth, and <br />a hinged approach ramp to compensate for any shitSing of the fishing structure. <br />Bulkheads may be appropriate in some areas or existing bulkheads can be made compatible for fishing, bulk- <br />heads should have curb stops and appropriate railings, <br /> page 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
