Railings should b{ 36 inches high; top boards are angled at 60 degrees. Rod holders can be made by drilling <br />1.5 inch diameter~oles, at least 2 feet apart along the top of the railing. <br />2. A hand rail shoultbe 30 inches high and made of easily gripped and durable material. A support and protec- <br />tion cross memb¢~ sll~uld be 18 inches high; this can be angled at 30 degrees so it doesn't block the view of <br />the water as muelt; aboard may also be placed on the pier along the bottom edge of the railing as a stop. <br />3. Fishing bays for 4theft chairs should have an angled top at ,2 inches high and an 18 inch high barrier 6 inches <br />beyond the edge 0ft~e raihng to pro,nde room for thexr feet; the p~er should also have a stop along the edge. <br />4. Benches on the Pier ~re optional but should not restrict people in wheel chairs.
