The neighborhood south of the Boy Scout Camp, north of 153rd Avenue N.W. and east <br />of State Highway #47, will be sent a copy of this case. <br /> <br />At the Budget Committee meeting, Staff presented that we receive weekly (or better) contact from <br />citizens wishing to receive park development. Due to density in this area, lack of park facilities, <br />the barrier presented by the river, land use and roadways, an expenditure in Woodland Green Park <br />appears warranted. Further, the proposed improvement will not create increased maintenance <br />expense (as opposed to development of Reilley East Park). <br /> <br />It was further presented that Council's options are to: <br /> <br />1) <br />2) <br />3) <br />4) <br /> <br />Do nothing <br />Pursue an alternative project <br />Propose the development within the 1993 budget <br />Fund the project from 1992 <br /> <br />It was presented that Option ~ was the preferred Staff choice with Option #3 also acceptable. We <br />offered that 1992 development could occur by allocating funds in the following manner: <br /> <br />Redisfficting refund from Anoka County <br />Pr/mary election reimbursement <br />Park supplies budget <br /> <br />$3,102 <br /> 2,370 <br /> 1,47~ <br />$6,950 <br /> <br />The Council also has the following budgetary options available to it: <br /> <br />Fund/Line <br /> <br />Current Undesignated Balance <br /> <br />1992 Contingency <br />Park Trust Fund <br />Charitable Gambling Fund <br />Other Operating Lines <br /> <br />$ 14,187 <br /> 107,252 <br /> 6,380 <br /> N/A <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Authorize Park Department to proceed with the project under the funding option presented to the <br />Budget Committee contingent upon review/comment from the neighborhood. <br /> <br />Reviewed by: Copies also distributed to: <br /> <br />Cit2,., Administrator <br />Finance Officer <br />Parks/Utilities Coordinator <br />City Engineer <br /> <br />Project Manager <br />Public Works Supervisor <br /> <br />CC:07/14/92 <br /> <br /> <br />
