Liquor Highlights <br /> <br />What types of liquor licenses can a city <br />issue? <br /> <br />Some licenses are issued by the state and some are issued by cities. A <br />city's ordinance should allow a city to issue a particular license. State <br />Laws ~ive cities the ability to issue the following types of liquor licenses, <br /> <br />provided certain criteria are met: <br /> <br /> Off-sale intoxicating liquor licenses. <br /> On-sale intoxicating liquor licenses. <br /> On-sale club intoxicating liquor licenses. <br /> Sunday on-sale intoxicating liquor licenses. <br /> <br /> Combination on-sale/off-sale intoxicating liquor licenses (only some <br /> cities). <br /> <br />· Temporary on-sale intoxicating liquor licenses. <br /> <br />· On-sale wine licenses. <br /> <br />· Temporary off-sale wine licenses. <br /> <br />· Bed & breakfast wine licenses. <br /> <br />· 3.2 percent malt liquor (beer) licenses. <br /> <br />· Strong beer (more than 3.2 percent) licenses. <br /> <br />· One-day consumption and display (set-up) permit. <br /> <br />Many of these licenses/permits must be approved by the Commissioner <br />of Public Safety before they hre effective.
