Kovar are requesting that the City of Ramsey vacate a street right-of-way <br />easement that~asmcquired in 1977 between two parcels described as P.I.N. 28-32-25-31-0004 <br />and P.I.N. 28-~2,~: -31-0003 located along U.S. Hzghway gl0. The easement for road pu~oses <br />is 50 feet widd:w[th 25 feet being on each of the above referenced lots. I have reviewed the City <br />Council meetifig ~nutes from 1977 and ~ere is no mention as to why ~is easement was acquired. <br />Because of th~ l~gation of this easement, it would appear that it was acquired to pe~it the <br />extension of a [frohtage road ~ong the north side of U.S. Highway ~10. This easement appe~s to <br />be the exten&d;~ccess to and from the frontage road to U S Highway ~10 Due to the <br />narrowness of~;tho;s~ lots, a frontage road that ends m a cul-de-sac along the north side of the lots <br />along U.S. Hi~h~ay ~10 would be a better location for the proposed frontage road. Taking into <br />consideration[~e~ments that I have received from City Staff members, it would be my <br />recommendation ~vacate this easement.
