The policies will be utilized during the LMC Day <br />at the ('al-,ilai ~!t,' ~g early March and other meetings with legislative representatives during the <br />sessio~. <br /> <br />Councilm,:n d~,.~r 5ir(m]mcn indicated she will be attending the League of Minnesota Cities Day at <br />thc ( iapital. <br /> <br />Councilm,:~fl~,:: Zimmerman inquired if this action would circumvent the League of Minnesota <br />Cilics <br /> <br />City Adn~ini,-;tralor Norman explained there is nothing that conflicts with the League of <br />Minncsot;~ (2i!i:::s' policies. These policies are items that are most important to the City of <br />Ramscy a~d s,~,i~t of them are not on the list of the League of Minnesota Cities. <br /> <br />Councilmct~d~c: ti[rig suggested something be addressed to allow the creation of a special taxing <br />district m i~citt4c mixed use residential projects. His understanding is that it cannot be used for <br />anything other lh;~ Colnmercial property at this time. <br /> <br />Assistant ih~bii.:: V/'n~ks Director Olson indicated staff would research this and bring it back to <br />thc COtlncii. <br /> <br />Councilmc,'.'.l~r 14 ~rak inquired how it should be handled if she disagrees with one of the items <br />on this lisL a~s r;il,'~ ;s opposed to the policy on Moratoriums for Land Use Consideration. <br /> <br />City Admi~i:.I~;.tl,::r Norman suggested this policy be pulled from the list for voting.
