Staff recommended the introduction of an Emergency Management <br />ordinance to ensure the City's preparedness in time of disaster. <br /> <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Kapter stated that he was very proud of the process they are <br />using because it is a multi-agency approach for the City. They have gone through some great <br />lengths to include all of the necessary parties and to make sure the plan could be easily <br />implemented if necessary. <br /> <br />The Council commended the Police and Fire Departments for working together and putting <br />together a plan to make sure the City is prepared to handle a big emergency. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Pearson, to introduce an <br />ordinance adding Section 3.53 to Chapter 3 of the Ramsey City Code, which section is entitled <br />"Emergency Management." <br /> <br />Motion carried; Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, and Councilmembers Elvig, Pearson, Strommen, <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #2: <br /> <br />Adopt Ordinance to Vacate Easements in Tranby Terrace 2nd Addition; <br />Case of Robert Letendre <br /> <br />Assistant Community Development Director Trudgeon stated that on January 13, 2004, the City <br />Council introduced an ordinance to vacate the underlying easements in Tranby Terrace 2® <br />Addition. The release of the draft AUAR triggered a 30-day review period that ended on <br />November 12, 2004.
